A treat for The Lancasters after winning the most house points of the term!

Today’s image is of the location of the T2 hangar which stood just off the east perimeter track between runway heads 25 and 31. These metal hangars became the standard temporary hangar for the RAF during the Second World War.

From 1956 we see a Ruston & Hornsby’s works day out with all the families. A Ruston’s train pulling into Lincoln Central before departing for Blankney and Metheringham stations. A lovely little 8mm film by the Works Manager at Boultham, who was present from 1920-1959.

Yesterday we were delighted to welcomed the Border Car Club #Lincolnshire to our Visitor Centre.

Today I set out thinking I would be camping. I changed my mind as I had an offer of accommodation so continued on to Metheringham and then onto the village of Nocton. I have now completed #SlowWays Slemet one. A great day of countryside, spires and sleepless.
