Fascinating Lancaster University China Centre Lancaster University seminar this lunchtime from Yingnian Tao on her linguistic research on perceptions of bias relating to interruptions of Hong Kong political figures by the presenter during interviews for BBC's HARDtalk.

In #Bangalore , a Cab driver refused to turn on the AC and asked the passenger to speak in #Kannada . The regional & linguistic identity is distancing people from each other. Now it appears that we have even reached the stage where it has now started affecting the nation.
