After watching the dazzlingly nihilistic STREET MOBSTER (1972), I've totally fallen in love with Kinji Fukasaku's visual aesthetic. The chaotic handheld camera, the crash zooms and whip pans, the skilful compositions and use of colour... perfection.

Fulci’s final film, DOOR TO SILENCE (1991), is shockingly uneventful, yet also better than I had heard due to a decent score and that distinctly odd Filmirage atmosphere. What a pity it spoils its own mystery in the first twenty fuckin' seconds.
