Just discovered Dokploy, an open-source Vercel and Heroku alternative.

It's a Coolify competitor, but with a much cleaner design.

I pay for 66 products ➤ to run my 24 projects.

Do you know a better alternative? Ideally, bootstrapped.
Let me know, and I may switch.

Hosting and Cloud Services
1. Digital Ocean for hosting.
2. AWS for hosting, storage, and CDN.
3. Hetzner for bare metal.
4. Heroku for db

Be careful if you try Heroku Router 2.0. We gave it a try, and it was a disaster. Couldn't revert it, had to completely rebuild our production app.

Just realised I've been paying Heroku $17 monthly for my everythingtechnicalwriting site.

This is very unsustainable 😭. Please recommend free options. I only use Heroku to host the Ghost CMS.

can't believe heroku spaces is a whopping $1200/month not including dyno and other add-ons. in this case, AWS really makes sense.

i wish there should be a cheaper option. if you're a startup, $1200/month is a big deal.

TIL Heroku has finally added HTTP/2 support!

Enable it via:
$ heroku labs:enable http-routing-2-dot-0 -a <app name>

Note that it doesn't yet work for herokuapp.com domains (yet), only custom ones.

More info on their blog: blog.heroku.com/heroku-http2-p…

DevOps doesn't have to be that complicated. At least not when you have Aptible backing you up.

Aptible brings Heroku-like automation to your own AWS.

Easily deploy, configure, and scale your apps. It's the ideal solution for startups and growing businesses.

I made this poker game last year. I previously hosted it on Heroku but got tough. Couldn't pay for the $10.😂😂. I think it should go open source so that we can all contribute and make a great one. Any questions?

Here's my SaaS product stack for Hyperaide:
- Sentry for error tracking.
- ToDesktop for desktop app.
- Pirsch Analytics for web analytics.
- LogSnag for product analytics and real-time notifications (I connect everything here).
- Heroku for hosting.

oclif from Heroku is still my go-to for CLI frameworks. i find myself constantly turning to it as i learn new APIs or try to automate repetitive tasks. this past weekend i built a simple CLI to fill a gap in a cloud platform.

i looked around and found no other CLI frameworks
