Professional golfer Grayson Murray died by suicide yesterday. He struggled with alcoholism and mental health issues for years.

In January he won his second PGA Tour event, the Sony Open in Hawaii. During the press conference after the tournament, instead of letting him celebrate

Sad to hear about the passing of Grayson Murray. I didn’t know him at all, but he was one of the people who reached out to me when I was struggling. I will always remember that. RIP.

He has died at the age of 30.

Grayson struggled with depression, anxiety, and alcoholism.

He was so talented and used his fame to try and shed light on his issues to help others. Below is a clip of one of his speeches.

Last July, Grayson Murray barely made the cut at the 3M Open. I doubt he was in a good mood on Sunday morning when my son asked him for an autograph on the range. But he took the time to sign his flag and ask him questions. That will be my memory of him. RIP.

So the Grayson Murrey family has confirmed it was suicide. This always rips a family apart. I wish them hope and peace.

I have held back on my criticism of the PGA Tour about this because it was not confirmed. But now i will say this.
