The Eucharist is God’s response to the deepest desire of the human heart: the hunger for authentic life. In the Eucharist, Christ Himself is truly in our midst, to nourish, console and sustain us on our journey.

We NEED more priests like this.

A priest protected the Holy Eucharist from a woman who called it a “cookie” and tried to grab it during Mass.

He said he was protecting the Eucharist BECAUSE IT IS THE BODY OF CHRIST.

“The Eucharist is not meant just for the altar, not meant just for the monstrance, and not meant just for the tabernacle where He is praised, adored and loved throughout the world. The Eucharist is meant for the heart.”

Some parishioners are unable to attend Mass at the Church on Sundays due to advanced age or illness. I regularly visit them in their homes so they may partake of the Eucharist and receive Sacraments. Would you kindly offer prayers for them?

Julia Meloni Why would a Catholic not believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist? They have not been taught the faith, or they lack faith.

Once upon a time, Catholics were required to actually fast for Communion. No food before Mass, starting at midnight.

In 1957 this was changed to a three hour fast.

In 1964 it was cut to one single hour.

Keep in mind this is one hour before taking the Eucharist, not one hour
