1. CERO harsher than ESRB; why then does Sony censor JP games way harder than CERO ever would force on them?

You guys have no idea how bad game censorship is in Japan. Some games are refused classification by CERO (equivalent to the ESRB) for being too violent which prevents titles like Dead Space and Callisto Protocol from being released at all.

Others like GTA are cut to ribbons.

TJ the Hedgescout AstroCyborg Yeah, I sort of had this same mentality, too, about the ESRB Rating system. It's like Western Gaming industry forgot what M-Rated implies. Their treating M Rated game like T Rated game. Censorship shouldn't be a thing in M-Rated games. Read the fine print.
