STATE ROUTE 120 W UPDATE: The crew from the Caltrans District 9 Lee Vining maintenance station has broken through to the eastern entrance of Yosemite National Park. There is still a lot of work to be done and snow to clear before the highway can reopen.

#TrafficAlert Due to the storm over the weekend, State Route 70 (SR-70) encountered another slide. SR-70 will remain closed from Jarbo Gap to Greenville Wye and the scheduled nightly openings this week will be cancelled. Full closure will remain until the new slide is cleared.

Caltrans will be back at it again tonight -- closing the northbound 101 to work on the big Wildlife Crossing near Liberty Canyon. Follow the detours. Closure starts at midnight, but partial lane closures could start as early as 7:00p.

Caltrans will begin pavement work on Highway 37 this weekend, with a full eastbound closure from 10 p.m. Friday, May 10 to 5 a.m. Monday, May 13.

Westbound Highway 37 is to remain open at all times.

#SantaBarbaraCounty The northbound Gaviota Rest Area, located south of the Gaviota Tunnel on US 101, will be temporarily closed TODAY through Monday, May 13 to repair a broken water line. 

The northbound Gaviota Rest Area is expected to reopen on Tuesday, May 14.
