This law must must be changed. Cyclist Brian Fitzgerald, a director of Credit Suisse, was doing 29mph in the 20mph limit in Regent’s Park, London,
when he hit an 81-year-old woman and killed her, but won’t face prosecution because police say speed limits don’t apply to

A cyclist who fatally hit an 81 year old woman at 29mph in a 20mph zone successfully defended himself because 'speed limits don't apply to cyclists in the same way as they do to motorists'.

Is this justified?

Potholes are being used as a sneaky way to 'nudge' motorists out of their cars and off the roads - by loading on extra costs, risks and hassle. Councils always seem to find the money to close roads, impose LTNs and 20mph zones, or put in new cycle lanes. telegraph.co.uk/cars/advice/ho…

Disappointing to see the Prime Minister misleading people on 20mph, whether intentionally or inadvertently.

This isn’t a blanket restriction. Speed limits on a large number of Welsh roads are unchanged, with journey times taking up to a minute longer.

This will save lives.

This is the man, Thomas O’Halloran, who was stabbed to death in a shocking attack in West London.

We have seen 6 murders in 4 days but Sadiq Khan seems keener on 20mph zones, net zero and fining drivers.

In reality 20mph zones are going to be massively extended across the UK in order to 'nudge' people out of their cars and restrict the public's mobility. Ministers are supposedly 'listening' to objections, but the agenda has already been decided. dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wal…

Happy to report that the speed limit across TfL roads in central London will reduce from 30mph to 20mph from Monday 2 March. This new measure will save countless lives and eradicate serious injuries on our roads, whilst making it safer to walk and cycle around the capital.

They won't listen. The war on motorists has been decided outside democracy by the transnational 'elite'. 20mph zones are a key strategy to 'nudge' people out of their cars and are being funded by the fake-conservative government in Westminster. cambridge-news.co.uk/news/local-new…

Here's what's just struck me about Oasis: THEY HAVE NO FAST SONGS. They just lumber about, fat-arsed and graceless, at 20mph because it's a residential area. Music for people who can't-dance-won't-dance. They ARE rock but they DON'T rock. And what's the fucking point in that?

I have just been made to drive through South London. As charming as a Yemeni refugee camp with puddles of piss and 20mph signs. Well done for re-electing the man who made this place so shite.

People banned from travelling more than 15 minutes. 'Blanket' 20mph speed limits. Meat taxes. Fake gay refugees. Jews terrified of Sadiq Khan.

The Conservative party has simply become addicted to lying. It lacks the competence or integrity to make an honest appeal to voters.

'[TfL on 20mph], admitting there will be no “net benefit” on air quality and most councils, too, admit there is no evidence air quality will be improved (when terrain is hilly and/or roads are used by larger vehicles, the evidence shows 20mph can make air quality worse). '
