Pitches/ground staff cannot cope with the usage levels. More pitches needed & higher spec pitches at county level. These weather patterns are here to stay so something needs to done to help the situation & provide the players with top quality playing surfaces all year round.

After 4 senior football matches last weekend followed by 4 days of non stop Go Games, the pitch team have worked their socks off Croke Park for 2 days to turn the pitch around for the Ladies Football league finals today. Best of luck to all 4 teams today.

Waking up to snow in southwest England and Wales?

A weather front pushed north overnight bringing widespread rain, however it pulled in some colder air on it's western flank which turned the rain to snow for some!
