This made me LOL but I know (and want) her to come back to the classroom. I hope they use it as an opportunity to remind everyone that there is absolutely nobody in the district doing more than the people who are in schools every day (though their paychecks suggest otherwise) 🙃

Lol but I bet this same person never wondered why there weren’t any Black characters on any of their favorite shows…

Sad decision from USC

A Muslim woman who minored in resistance to genocide is the USC Class of 2024 valedictorian — and USC is BANNING her from speaking at Commencement.😐

You can contact USC Provost Andrew Guzman to share your concerns at [email protected]
and 213-740-2101.

You represent Dallas, which has a smaller population than Manhattan, so let’s compare.

Homicides in 2023…
* Manhattan: 105
* Dallas: 275

HISD will be closed for Eid. April 10th is Eid. Considering there are over 90,000 Muslim people in Harris County, I would think HISD would use this as an opportunity to show support for the diverse religious communities we have in our district.

If you can possibly help it, don’t let anybody near your students who doesn’t care about them.

Your students deserve to be in the company of adults who honor & respect them, as intellectuals and as humans. Protect them, fiercely.

Thank you Christina Morales for your support. HISD teachers and students deserve better. We need more elected officials to demand transparency and accountability.

I, along with 8 other State Representatives, requested a public hearing about our serious concerns with Houston ISD. We cannot vote on who represents us on the school board, so we as state representatives must hold the board accountable. I look forward to learning the truth.

Less than 2% of leaders who serve as Superintendents are Latina in Tx. Today was an honor to serve on a special dissertation committee on this topic. It’s been a joy to support & mentor you through this journey the last 6 years. Felicidades to Doctora Margarita Tovar Rosales!!

Vicente Fernandez said, “No hay que llegar primero, pero hay que saber llegar.” Meaning, “You don’t have to be the first, but you must know how to arrive.” Gracias to everyone who helped me arrive at this milestone. May this study also serve as a guide to help Latinas succeed!

“Maybe Texas went too far”

Yes, they went too far. They know it. Every objective observer knows it. They just don’t care that they went too far.

Regarding behaviour, I don't care how many books you've sold or where your doctorate is from. I just want strategies that work

Where has it worked?
Why did it work?
How do I do it?

Classroom teachers are too busy for theoretical or ideological debates. We just want what works
