Justice Alito must be impeached.

He has now refused to recuse himself from cases related to the Jan 6 insurrection, even after flying two pro-insurrection flags outside his homes.

He must be impeached if the high court is to retain any legitimacy.

Wow. This is an enormous announcement. Why is the media ignoring this?

The real judicial scandal isn't the Alitos' flag. The real scandal is the Supreme Court slow walking the Trump immunity case, and Judge Cannon stalling the classified documents case. The scandal isn't what a judge is flying at home; the scandal is what they're doing as judges.

I agree with Molly Jong-Fast. Senator Dick Durbin could be holding hearings regarding Alito's refusal to recuse over the flags. Senator Durbin, if you're not willing to do that, respectfully get the hell out of the way and let Sheldon Whitehouse handle things. He will take action.

Justice Alito has life tenure on SCOTUS & he's not obligated to follow an ethics code. Together, those things have done great damage to the Court's integrity. It's time to end life tenure & for Congress to impose mandatory ethics rules akin to what other fed'l judges must abide.
