The core was created back in 2019, alongside Modoru '2.0', when PlayStation fixed the original Modoru bypass. It was intended as a 1-2-tap for when PlayStation fixes the crypto coprocessor exploit.
They never did, so fwtool evolved adding much more features.

Right now it's feature-complete and in a QA phase where i feel it is safe enough to be publicly available.
This tool is very powerful, but requires advanced knowledge of the Vita system as well as extensive documentation to properly use. I hope to finish it this summer.

The psp2fwtool project is now public. It is not yet ready for a proper release (docs & UI/UX), but i don't think that PlayStation will patch the 'bypass' that fwtool uses.
It is intended to be the endgame firmware modding tool for the PlayStation Vita.
