Small businesses aren’t small - they represent 98% of biz across Canada, and the Ontario BIA Association (OBIAA) represents over 100,000 of them across ON.

It was great to speak at their annual conference today and hear from their members about the essential work their doing to support small biz.

This weekend, I also spent time at the GAFAA’s Spring Runway for Autism Awareness. They are such a great group that does amazing advocacy work and also helps support individuals with autism. It’s so inspiring to spend time with them and so much fun to see their runway show!

Today, I joined my colleagues and the Peel Regional Labor Council to commemorate the National Day of Mourning. We honour the memory of those killed, injured, or made ill in the workplace. We remain committed to improving airplan workplace health and safety #DayofMourning

This week I met with student entrepreneurs at University of British Columbia to learn more about the innovative ideas they’re working on!
