I moderated a panel recently for Center for Applied AI at Chicago Booth on AI and the Law: Regulation and Opportunity. A good discussion with a mix of legal, business and broader perspectives: youtube.com/watch?v=S__II7…
This piece is part of a small symposium on the new DOJ Apple case. Other pieces by Herbert hovenkamp Maurice Stucke and Fiona Scott Morton (who I think has departed Twitter for bluer climes).
I just finished reading the Apple antitrust complaint. I will have think about it more but I confess I came away with the strong sense that DOJ thinks we want to live in a world where we are running WeChat on our Xiaomi phones. #chinaenvy ?
My colleague Lior Strahilevitz and I made up Filippo's JSD dissertation committee. Thrilled that we have reached this point. Georgetown Law is lucky to get him (and vice versa). Big Steve Salop shoes to fill, but one step at a time forward.
I walked out of our townhouse complex yesterday morning and saw water flowing up out of the ground. I went out at 11 pm last night and Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation was still on the job. Water on this morning. Appreciate the hard work and results!
Super-useful rendition of the Apple DMA hearing today. Thanks for doing this Kay Jebelli 🇺🇦 . A nice reminder of that Twitter can be on a good day.
