Global temperature is now near its peak due to El Nino + aerosol decrease. How far will it fall in the coming La Nina? If El Nino/La Nina average is ~1.5C, given Earth’s energy imbalance, we are now passing thru 1.5C, for practical purposes. See MayRpt - mailchi.mp/caa/comments-o…

With half the month of data in, its very likely (>95% chance) that May 2024 will be the warmest May on record, extending the streak of record breaking months to 12 in a row:

The last 12 months (May 2023 to April 2024) were the warmest May to April period for a large swath of the globe.

That includes large chunks of South America, Central America, Africa, Europe, Canada, and the Atlantic Ocean.

(1 of 5) Just in: Earth just had its warmest on record.

April 2024 was also the 11th consecutive month of record-setting global temperatures.

Two years ago today, a white supremacist shot and killed 10 people and injured three others at a Tops supermarket, simply because they were Black.

The gunman drove hours to target the only grocery store in a predominantly Black neighborhood in Buffalo, New York.

As we remember

I am surprised seeing climate 'skeptics' arguing that we know our topic and we are not 'incompetent baffoons'!

Thus, such skeptics must also be endorsing our results, which are that the Sun did not play a significant role in recent climate change, right?

Tony Heller You just posted a coverage
map of a more than 10-year-old dataset that:

A) Doesn't include most weather stations.

B) Was never used in the monitoring of global temperature trends anyway.

Good explainer. The reds are pretty rare, due to lower oxygen levels about 150 miles. Last night smears of aurora-red were showing up across much of the planet which is jaw-dropping
