Loved stopping by the Flavours & Arts of India festival at Nathan Phillips Square this afternoon. It continues tomorrow.

From now to September 17, splash and spray pads will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

This morning we topped off the new Don Summerville Toronto Community Housing development near Queen and Coxwell.

It means new affordable rental housing units and new retail vitality to this stretch of Queen East. Thank you to Paula Fletcher for all her leadership on this.

Progress requires hard work and organization. It cannot be taken for granted, and sometimes, we need to be prepared to defend the advances we have already made.

Flags at City Hall and civic centres will be at half-mast and the Toronto sign will be dimmed this evening.

We will also be making a condolence book available for residents to share their memories of Councillor Robinson and well-wishes for her family.

I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to Councillor Robinson’s family, friends and loved ones.

She was a dedicated public servant who cared deeply about her constituents and Toronto. Her voice will be dearly missed.
