I am going to miss what we built at Possibility Space. Every worker there who contributed to the project is absolutely at the top of their game, and if you know me, consider this an unconditional endorsement of literally anyone I worked with and I will back that up in person.

An effective immediately mass layoff event over having been contacted by a reporter for comment on an as yet unpublished article about the sudden shutdown of another studio he'd owned is an enormously petty, cowardly, and paranoid justification for disrupting his employees lives.

It's hard to overemphasize the extent to which so much of the problems in the games industry, a creative industry with more revenue than just about every other creative industry combined, is not 'challenging economic headwinds' but fucking dogshit management.

Just found out my job at Possibility Space has come to an end by a disconnected Slack (classic move) followed by an unpleasant e-mail from the CEO informing us that the studio has been closed and that we’re to blame. 🥲

For anyone hiring: please, please consider hiring the fine folks at Possibility Space. Their studio just got shut down today. Everyone there is absurdly talented, and I got to meet and work with many of them while I was at Prytania. I'll keep signal boosting as I see more tweets.
