I had high hopes for Michael Cimino’s directorial debut Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, and boy does it deliver. Clint Eastwood and the Oscar-nominated Jeff Bridges are a perfectly matched pair in this entertaining action crime drama. Another reason why ‘70s filmmaking is such a joy.

Wow, a titan has left us. The landscape of cinema history would not look the same without the great Roger Corman. Godspeed, good sir.

It doesn’t achieve the power of the last two installments, but Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is still an adventure worth taking. Visually it’s a stunner, with breathtaking shots & effects throughout. I just wish the main characters & overall story held more emotional weight.
