Last night I went to see Romeo and Juliet. Absolutely thrilling. The cast are amazing , and looking at ticket sales for the run ,tells me that theatre is very much thriving in the UK right now. I just wish I had seen Sunset Boulevard !

Dropping my kid off for another GCSE exam this morning. I have to do everything in my power to not say “Honestly, it just doesn’t matter” but it’s English Lit which feels important for anything creative. So I just say,yet again “Remember, I have no idea what grades I got” True

Filming in The City of London on a Sunday is a thrill. Empty streets & gardens & you find so many little areas that you don’t recognise, & I am a Londoner. Churches,alleys,architecture & since 7am this morning I have barely seen a soul (apart from the film crew)

Day 2 of current job. I didn’t even look out the window at 6am .Trying not to wake the whole house… I got dressed, & walked out the door like the bright, balmy summer was in full swing. Not even a jacket…but wearing sunglasses!
