I suspect some software is a/b tested into unusability by, for example, measuring how long people stay on the site (the more confusing, the longer). The way I always need a double take to find and open the actual website link for a place on google maps definitely feels engineered

Does anyone have experience with listing packages both under 'dependencies' *and* 'peerDependencies' in package.json so that npm <7 will install them, but npm 7+ will also force deduplication? (see github.com/codemirror/dev…)
