Every app developer and business owner struggles, but it’s not often you hear about those… nice writeup from 8 folks who have shared about the hard parts.

🚨 If you have a visionOS and iOS version of your app with a shared subscription between them, beware that the receipt is missing the 'original_app_version' field when restoring a purchase made on visionOS on another device. It took me quite a while to figure it out.

Somehow my role in the universe is to bridge networking protocols to Apple devices and I just did it again.

FTP Files is out for iPhone, iPad and Mac putting FTP, SFTP and FTPS servers in the Files app and Finder.

Deprecating storyboards in visionOS feels like a ballsy move by Apple. I hope they will stay around for many years to come, otherwise supporting Vision Pro will be way harder for older codebases.

Really excited about shipping this one! Creating the bar chart widgets with SwiftCharts was a lot of fun. Improving Dynamic Type support in the whole app - not so much 😅. But I'm glad that it's all finished and ready to be used!

Why does SwiftUI has to be such a pain in the butt sometimes 😩. Having a conditional view modifier on Chart didn't work for me. Any tips how to make this work?

For the next version of Timelines app, I'll be migrating from my legacy custom card-based modal presentation to using the system one + the inset grouped style.
