I was present at the Pro-Palestinian protest on campus. I observed Tulane students engaging in peaceful & nonviolent demonstration.
Lift suspensions & drop charges
We condemn the violent & disproportionate police response.
We stand with our students.

If you're wondering if you can have nightmares about not knowing your choral voice part a decade after you actually sung in choir, the answer is yes.

If you're wondering if your subconscious can combine that fear with failure to pick up your kids, the answer is also yes.

The point of this raid was terror. They waited for those kids to fall asleep. And then they pulled the tents from under them while they were sleeping. Shame on the University of Chicago.

As you can probably tell by my face here, I actually do think there is such a thing as a stupid question.

its wild that people are calling employers to refuse to hire those protesting genocide while others are using THIS video to promote their political careers.

It is puzzling that we tell our students to transform the world, but when they try to do it, they put their education into practice, we often penalize them. Is activism supposed to be admired and rewarded only as an alumni activity? This graduation raising questions in me. 💬❓

This blatant racism is so painful to watch, especially when it happens in places that will not let us teach about the legacies of racism.

Right now @UMichSPH’s commencement speaker, Jodi-Ann Burey, condemned the UMich’s leaders for not divesting in the face of the genocide in Gaza. “We are witnessing the most well-documented genocide in human history on our cell phones.”
