At present, I do not advise anyone adds the $12,000 FSD Package to their purchase. Unless something changes, either subscribe for $99/month or use your Tesla with basic Autopilot.
IMO Tesla should allow owners to transfer purchased FSD packages once every 12 months.

No one is paying to replace a Cybertruck battery any time soon.

With FSD now $99/month it now takes 10 years of subscribing to Tesla FSD to break even vs buying. With that pricing, it needs to be a continually transferable license or it makes absolutely no sense to purchase.

At half the price they’ll need to see twice the take rate, especially because now it doesn’t really make sense for anyone to purchase FSD for $12,000 upfront.

Honestly I didn’t expect this! I can’t really recommend ever bundling the $12,000 upfront Full-Self-Driving package to anyone anymore.
I wonder if they’ll bring down the price of that next!
