'A senior executive for German manufacturer Bosch has said that hydrogen will not be a major solution for the heating sector — despite the company’s British arm spending years lobbying for H2 boilers and against electric heat pumps.'

I initially scrolled past this article due to the awful clickbait headline but it's actually very good. Dr Rosenow knows his stuff and our heat pump definitely costs less to run than our old gas boiler.

Heat pumps can be a lot cheaper to run than gas boilers.

Great article The Guardian on whether heat pumps save money. Short answer is yes, a little, if the heat pump is running efficiently. Removing the gas meter saves another ~£100.
Long term the difference between gas & electricity prices need to be rebalanced.
