This is outlandish. The Tropical Atlantic Ocean heat content is so far above normal it’s now normal for Mid August.
The stored potential energy in the Atlantic is unreal this year, building on top of last year’s absurdity. 1/

When Russia conquers territory in Ukraine, it murders civic leaders and other civilians, sets up torture chambers, and deports children for assimilation in Russia. Ukrainians resist because defeat or surrender means Russian genocidal policy on the scale of their entire country.

Watched all nearly two hours of this last night. It was enlightening. He has become profoundly boring, ranting, rambling. Incoherent. The kind of person you would move away from in an airport or restaurant. Will write about the speech.

1/3. The thing Trump did in Dayton – celebrating his fascist movement's dubious 'martyrs' – is exactly what Goebbels and Hitler did between the Nazis' failed coup and their seizure of power. Their song was called the Horst Wessel Song.

Your 'moment of doom' for Mar. 10, 2024 ~ It's tipping.

'If deforestation, fires and climate change continue to worsen... that, scientists say, would trigger a collapse that could send up to 20 years’ worth of global carbon emissions into the atmosphere.'

The challenge of citing these record-breaking temperatures is the same as calling out Trump's endless lies: how do you do it in a way communicates what is really at stake and doesn't just normalize them or turn them into background noise of our increasingly chaotic world?
