Someone I know, who tutors HSc students, has just had to write a letter in defence of one of their students who one of these AI detectors has flagged as producing an essay “75% likely” written by an AI.

Reality: not a single word of it came from an AI. My friend watched the

the 'future made in australia' concept is insanely popular.

australians want a confident, clean and prosperous future.

good luck to Peter Dutton who thinks australians aren't capable of it / don't deserve it.

It was Plato who observed that those who seek power should not hold it.

One could look at the lies and distortions the cretinous Dutton is willing to say, and wonder how fit he is to hold control over the lives of others.

What a nasty, devious little shit rag is the Stokes’ West Australian. These jets were ordered (quite reasonably) by the Morrison government in 2021, to replace two clapped-out 737s. They belong to the RAAF. The Opposition Leader would use one at election time.

Watched DW’s “Boom” yesterday. Grim episode, but hats off to Steven Moffat for some really confronting (and timely) commentary on the toxic intersection between war and corporate profit. No spoilers, but twist was unexpected yet totally logical and well telegraphed. Seeing Varada

This is not good.

I sincerely hope this is an accidental crash, rather than an assassination or attempt. The geopolitical effects from an assassination could be severe. abc.net.au/news/2024-05-2…

I just love the retro community’s commitment to recreating the experience of 20, 30, 40 and 50 years ago.

And folks, if you have an old CRT TV, please put it on eBay. Don’t throw it. Sell it or give it away. Even if it’s broken: they can be fixed.

Gina Rinehart released a somewhat unhinged video statement last night. The subtext seems to be she'll BUY THE NATIONAL GALLERY‼️

Dutton trying to play the “money going to billionaires” card makes me wonder at the advice he is getting.

Consistency has never been something Dutton is burdened with, but the absurdity of that play is genuinely confusing.
