The UP Diliman University Council issued a statement on the passing of Resolution of Both Houses No. 7 by the House of Representatives which seeks to amend several economic provisions of the 1987 Philippine Constitution.

There has to be a deeper reason for doing this. We already have the Commission on Human Rights, the Presidential Human Rights Committee, and so many laws for the implementation of human rights, as well as treaties we have signed internationally. 1/2
