Here is a Swift parrot graveyard in Tasmania’s forests: it will never again host nesting Swift parrots as Anthony Albanese & Jeremy Rockliff pushes these critically endangered birds nearer extinction. Those who defended this forest now face jail sentences under Rockliff law.

You may remember when I rescued this bird 5 years ago. I called him Scootaloo. He and I were bonded. I held him every night because I thought he needed love. He left a hole in my heart the size of Texas when he passed this morning. I loved him so much!
