Remember that 'air head' video made with Sora? Turns out it used a ton of rotoscoping and manual VFX.

A 'head' would pop back on, and the balloon colors would keep changing from generation to generation. TL;DR researchers and developers of generative AI tools really need to…

Building on what I was saying in this piece, Bloomberg reports:

“One [Apple Store] employee says they haven’t seen one Vision Pro purchase in weeks and that the number of returns equaled the device’s sales in the first month that it was available.”

Meanwhile, in the Skies. Can anyone reproduce?
The foreseeable harm from this is a forager cook putting poisonous mushrooms in food they serve to you (and then the harm would be that you die). With GenAI, we must have special handling for poison & weapons, amongst other things.

To all those who struggle to understand the difference between a human who goes to a museum and paints a picture back home and the way generative AI works - maybe this helps?
Unless your lack of understanding is ideologically motivated of course...

The thing with averages is that they tend to look very similar.

That is, if you average out many random things, the results will start to resemble.

AI art is simply averaging out human art hence it loses the diversity that makes art what it is.

Apple’s Vision Pro is a bad product with an even worse vision for the future of computation.

New sales numbers prove it’s a failure, but more than that it shows the idea of tech’s inevitability is a myth. We can stop tech that doesn’t serve us. disconnect.blog/the-vision-pro…
