EV range has radically improved 🚙

✅ In 2011 Nissan Leaf was only EV available in US with range of 73 miles

✅ Today 50 EV models available in US with avrg. range of 291 miles

✅ Lucid Air Grand Touring’s range is 516 miles

I went to China, drove more than a dozen EVs, and sat in dozens more. Had a lot of conversations, learned a lot of things.

One thing's for sure -- we're absolutely cooked, and it's probably our fault. China's EVs are better.

Useful context in light of the EV tariff news: only two US EV models have sold more than 100,000 units on an annual basis: the Tesla Model 3 and Y.

There's a lot of space for legacy automakers to step up in the US EV market, but none has risen to Tesla's level (yet).

'Western Automakers Are Cooked'
because Chinese cars are both better and cheaper.
