#HappeningThisWeek ECOZI is attending a 3-day workshop organized by Ministry of P&S EdZW on Training of Trainers for the Early Warning System for Mitigating Dropout Rates at the Secondary Level in Zimbabwe.

On World Water Day we celebrate the importance of water in our lives. Let us work together to ensure that as we promote access to quality equitable, lifelong & resilient education we also ensure that all the children have access to safe & clean water to drink in their schools.

We are thrilled to announce that today we had a productive engagement meeting with Ministry of Higher & Tertiary Education ZW . We had an opportunity to share our planned activities for this year and discuss the various interventions that ECOZI has been supporting in the Ministry since 2018.

ECOZI is attending a System Capacity Strengthening Workshop Under the Safe to Learn Initiative: Focus on Pupil Safeguarding Circulars. The workshop is being hosted by the LEPS Department at Fairmile Hotel in Gweru from the 4th-5th of March 2024 targeting the Northern Provinces.

The school feeding initiative goes beyond just providing meals for learners, it transforms & improves the quality of education.

ECOZI in collaboration with SAYWHAT participated at the orientation of 1st year students at Morgenster Teachers College & Masvingo Polytechnic. A discussion on Sexual Harassment was held with the first year students & the importance of compliancy to their college policies

The #ZimbabweEarlyLearningPolicy (ZELP) launched today in Kadoma by the Deputy Minister - Hon A Gata. Director ECOZI- Elvis Chitsungo addresses delegates on the contribution by Education partners in the development of the #ZELP for Early Learning.

ECOZI Director, Mr Chitsungo in his remarks said, 'teachers unions are the pillars that require maximum attention & support as they raise key issues affecting education in Zimbabwe therefore, ECOZI will continue to support engagements between Ministry of P&S EdZW and teachers unions.

Today ECOZI supported Ministry of P&S EdZW to convene a meeting with the Min Hon. T. Moyo & teachers unions.
The meeting was of much significance as it created a platform to discuss key issues affecting learners & most importantly the welfare of teachers in Zimbabwe.'
