Noah Cowan was responsible for launching TIFF's heralded Midnight Madness, and brought so many young filmmakers from our genre world into a mainstream festival. Here's 1990, 1992, and 1994, respectively. My condolences to the entire Toronto film scene on this great loss.

RIP Noah Cowan. 3 decades ago we peed our pants laughing while writing the press releases for midnight madness at TIFF together. We had some adventures over the years. I will find those photos. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Thinking of film programmer, Noah Cowan, who sadly passed away the other day. He put together some excellent screenings in his time, including this one with Chris Doyle, who he coaxed some fascinating stories out of for Chungking Express.
