Not a word from Canada about the event that triggered this retaliation — Israel’s illegal airstrike against the Iranian consulate in Damascus, which also damaged the Canadian embassy. Instead of pushing for de-escalation, Canada is giving unconditional support to a rogue state.

For six months, the US supplied Israel's terror bombing of Gaza. Those demonstrating for a ceasefire and peace process were belittled, shamed, targeted. People who spoke up for Ukraine were deadly silent on Gaza. I'll never understand this lack of humanity. Now we are here.

PEN International released their schedule for the World Voices Festival this week. I was supposed to appear at a panel in NYC alongside other Native writers. I was really excited. But PEN America's stance on Israel's genocide of Palestinians has made it clear: I cannot go.

Seriously? This is so disappointing. Writers' Trust should be ashamed of themselves. Total loss of any credibility and respect.
