Low pressure is driving our weather for much of this week, so generally we are looking at a mixture of sunshine and showers. High pressure looks like taking over at the end of the week (atm!) so that should settle things down for next weekend especially BBC Breakfast xxx

We have a slow moving weather front heading north and east today. It has been producing rain in Wales this morning, but ahead of it in Suffolk it has been a sunny start BBC Breakfast xxx

Today we have rain coming in from the southwest and moving slowly north and east. Some of this will be heavy across SW Eng, S Wales and N Ireland (especially so on the hills). For northern, central and eastern areas, it will be mostly dry with some warm sunshine BBC Breakfast xxx

Yesterday it was significantly colder in Fylingdales with an onshore flow. Chertsey reached 27.5C making it the warmest day of the year so far... and then we had spectacular thunderstorms in some western and northern areas BBC Breakfast xxx
