Low pressure is driving our weather for much of this week, so generally we are looking at a mixture of sunshine and showers. High pressure looks like taking over at the end of the week (atm!) so that should settle things down for next weekend especially BBC Breakfast xxx

Today we have rain coming in from the southwest and moving slowly north and east. Some of this will be heavy across SW Eng, S Wales and N Ireland (especially so on the hills). For northern, central and eastern areas, it will be mostly dry with some warm sunshine BBC Breakfast xxx
