Reception children E-ACT Nechells Academy have been using a range of different papers in order to create imagery that will allow light to pass through. The project has involved shape-making, colour-mixing and flower-growing!
Year 1 children PercyShurmerAcademy have been exploring sculpture. Using clay to build abstract forms and dripping paint and glue to create colour. These will become part of the annual exhibition in the school art gallery in July.
Year 2’s magnificent felt sculptures are complete and now displayed in their very own cloche in the art gallery E-ACT Nechells Academy. Each sculpture contains handmade felt formed into leaves, stems, flowers, berries and plant pots.
Year 5’s beautiful sculptures have been installed alongside Year 3’s superb screenprints this morning, creating a new exhibition space on the stairwell outside the Y3 & 5 classrooms PercyShurmerAcademy
Year 3’s amazing mixed media volcano artwork has been mounted and is ready for display in the school art gallery E-ACT Nechells Academy next week. Looking forward to seeing them being exhibited alongside other children’s fabulous work!
Year 5’s fabulous abstract artwork inspired by The Grand Canyon landscape and linked to their geography study Mansfield Green E-ACT Primary. The children used painting, printing and collage to create the work.
Year 3’s magnificent volcano screenprints are complete. Today, a small selection have been framed and installed on one of the stairwells PercyShurmerAcademy. Further artwork will be exhibited on the stairwell from next week. Stay tuned…
Years 4 & 5 children that have been attending a weekly after school art club Lea Forest Primary Academy have today completed their latest collaborative project - working with clay, colour and composition to produce this wonderful sculpture!
Year 5’s beautiful Medieval Monarch artwork is now being exhibited on the stairwell E-ACT Nechells Academy. A combination of painting, printing and collage techniques were used to achieve the final results.
Year 5 children’s Medieval Monarch collage images are now complete, mounted and ready to be installed E-ACT Nechells Academy. I’m looking forward to seeing Queen Victoria, Richard I, Henry VIII and others adorning the school walls from next week.
Year 2’s fantastic felted wheels can now spin, manually. The children Lea Forest Primary Academy have worked really hard to find ways for their artwork to revolve, bringing in card and foam board to strengthen and enable movement. Hats off to the young artists!
Year 2 children have made an amazing start to their project Lea Forest Primary Academy today. They have produced felt, by hand, that we’ll be using next week to create moving wheels and axles artwork. I’m certainly looking forward to seeing how this work develops…
A brand new space to exhibit Reception children’s artwork has been created today Montgomery Academy. I had the privilege of installing these beautiful print and collage pieces made, over the past couple of months, by the young artists.
