Nursery - Congratulations and very well done to this weeks award winners

Nursery - This week at the water area we have been using the fishing rods to catch some fish. We have been working hard on our number and colour recognition by looking at what numbers are on the fish and what colour they are 🐠😀

Drum roll please🥁… Well done to this weeks ‘Star Award’ winners⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our ‘Reading School’ journey continues as we celebrate ‘Reader of the Week’. Well done everyone.

Mrs Martin had a successful 1st meeting with our house captains. As a school we will explore UNCRC Article 31 (rest, leisure, play, culture and arts).
Balmoral will be our 1st house to attend our house captain surgery (24/4/24) to suggest ways to improve our play area.

A very warm welcome to our nursery children that joined us for our 1st nursery to school transition event. We had great fun exploring the playground.

I have absolutely loved working in every class this week and getting to know our children, staff and parents/ carers.

Nursery - We used the lollipop sticks to create our own shapes and images, such as a house, an aeroplane and a rainbow.

Nursery - At the snack table today we were practicing our cutting skills by cutting the strawberries in half for our morning snack. We then enjoyed them with some pancakes 🍓😀

If P3/4 were in charge of the school they would have lots of after school clubs, a class pet and lots of computers.
I look forward to working with P1 and P1/2 on creating their vision for Westfield (19/4/24). Mrs Martin

P4/5 are keen to make some improvements to their playground and environment. They shared with Mrs Martin that they love Maths, ICT and PE sessions.

Last but not least for Mrs Martin’s ‘Getting To Know You’ sessions was P6. High on the priority list for these young learners was more active schools experiences and ICT.
