On 11/04/2024, bogus roofers attended an address in Steeton trying to convince the home owner that unnecessary repairs needed to be carried out on their roof. The company left a business card in the name of Dryzone Roofing & Guttering, there is no company with that name.

Police investigating the death of Kulsuma Akter have arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of her murder.

The man, from Oldham, was arrested in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 9 April) in the Aylesbury area.

A teenager has been charged with attempted burglaries and theft from motor vehicle offences in Silsden.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with four offences on 16 and 17 March.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at court today.
