The United States, Canada and Mexico convened today in Montreal for the 3rd 🇺🇲🇲🇽🇨🇦 Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Dialogue with small businesses from all three countries to discuss inclusive trade in North America.

After reviewing USTR’s report on Section 301 tariffs, President Biden is directing me to take further action to encourage the elimination of the PRC’s unfair tech transfer-related policies and practices that continue to burden U.S. commerce and harm American workers and businesses.

Last week, Ambassador McKalip visited Georgia Ports to see firsthand how imports and exports bolster the economy, learn about supply chain velocity, and view the impact of ports like Savannah on agricultural trade 🏗

I pledge to undertake a full and thorough investigation into our unions concerns.

USTR is prepared to use our trade tools in the Administration’s efforts to stand up to the PRC. That includes this morning's initiation of a Section 301 investigation into the PRC's longstanding efforts to dominate the maritime, logisitcs, and shipbuilding sectors.

The unions’ petition raises serious concerns about harms to U.S. workers, the shipbuilding industry, and U.S. resilience. I pledge to undertake a full and thorough investigation into the unions’ concerns.

After review of a petition filed with USTR by five national labor unions, we are initiating an investigation of acts, policies, and practices of the PRC targeting the maritime, logistics, and shipbuilding sectors for dominance.
