Primary 3 were learning to talk like mathematicians today to describe 3D shapes! We used the vocabulary of faces, edges and vertices to do this and we even had a visit from Pete Wishart and Joe Duquenoy-Taylor to demonstrate our oracy skills to. What an exciting day! Voice 21 Oracy

Makayla in primary 3 was thrilled to find out today that her entry for the Amey NE Trunk Roads Gritter naming competition was the winner! Very soon ‘Hansel and Gritel’ will be out on our roads making sure we all get home safe! ❄️

Primary 3 had the special task of sharing their learning of the 5 times table today with their primary 6 buddies. They created lots of different maths games to demonstrate this and were able to verbally explain the instructions to their game. #oracy PKC Learning and Teaching

We are delighted with the amount of donations we collected for Perth Food Bank. Along with St Ninians, Stanley and Murthly we filled the back of the MGM Timber truck! Thank you to all who donated. The Rights Respecting Committee members helped load the truck!

Nursery children had a great time yesterday meeting Santa, decorating biscuits, making reindeer food and enjoying milk and cookies and a story in our gingerbread house! Just a few sleeps left to go! 🎅🏽

P5/6 were set a challenge of creating the longest paperchain that they could with one sheet of A4 paper. They used their #oracy skills to discuss the best way of completing the challenge.

Eryk, Holly and Maddison from P7 created artwork at home to celebrate the end of our Titanic topic. They put so much time and effort into their pieces and we are so proud of them!

What a busy day we had today! Not only was it Christmas Jumper Day but we also had our delicious Tayside Contracts 🍽️ 🛻🧹💻 Christmas lunch. A massive thank you to all of the dinner ladies and our special helpers Brian Leishman ian massie and PerthCityNorth John for serving our lunch!

Primary 3 have been very busy creating their own rainforest models at home. From pictures to Minecraft imaging to cardboard, we have a very creative bunch of learners!

Classes were thrilled to get a visit from Amey NE Trunk Roads this week and find out about how gritters work. We now have the hard task of thinking of a name to call the newest gritter of the fleet!

In PE, we have been learning Scottish Country Dances. P4 and P5/6 celebrated St Andrew’s Day together and danced a Canadian Barn Dance, Flying Scotsman and the Military Two Step. #StAndrew ’sDay #ScottishCountryDancing

P4 was delighted to join Gavin from Tulloch Net and Alice Kenny, wild spaces project officer, to help prepare and sustain our community Orchard and green space as part of butterfly conservation.
