I always struggle to put into words how meaningful the Outdoor Leadership Experience (OLE) is for educational leaders. It is inspiring to see the renewal of passion for individuals and the transformation of a team that becomes lifelong friends. I am in awe. IYKYK.

So glad to see that the Summer Reading program is still going strong at Logan-Rogersville SD They’ve expanded the bookmobile to a full size bus! Seeing students when they came out to read with us during the summer was one of my very favorite things as a principal!

A3. I also need to look at the learning from the 'seat of the participant'. Keeping this in mind will always help me develop the PD sessions with them in mind!

A3: I am fairly organized, it's just how my brain works - so I'm always thinking of ways to be even more organized going forward. We will have more MLDS cohorts next year, and I want to stay ahead of the game, and keep my materials super organized.

A2: This year my most powerful PD came when I attended the SAMS conference in Tucson. National speakers, covering a variety of topics...my brain was on fire!

A1: The most powerful PD we did in my building was our PLC work. It put us on a trajectory and we accomplished so much as a team.

We had a school suburban that we filled with leveled reading books and had scheduled stops throughout our district every Thursday during the summer. Parents and students flocked to read with us and check out books.

A3: One of my all-time favorites is 'Mindset: the New Psychology of Success' by Carol Dweck. If we want our students to flourish, we must believe that their abilities can be developed. Important work for all educators to understand and embrace.

A2: I don't think I could ever read a book on vacation - our vacations are filled with action and adventure - not a lot of time is spent sitting. I prefer to read in a quiet spot with few distractions!
