Update from TxDOT regarding the intersection of Gulf Shores Drive and SH 87. Per my request, they conducted a traffic study to determine the need of a signal at the intersection. The amount of traffic at the intersection does not currently meet the criteria for a light signal.

Anyone wanting to be a delegate to the State Republican Convention must be selected at their local precinct convention. In Galveston county, those take place tomorrow followed by Senate district conventions near the end of the month. Chambers county will hold a joint convention.
