Under the Tories the army has been reduced from 102,000 in 2010. The 2015 target of 82,000 personnel has been scrapped and the army will now be reduced to 72,500 by 2025. This is set out in the Defence in a Competitive Age command paper.

As part of our Centre of Excellence approach, we have hosted new placements for a WestCollegeScotland an HNC Social Services and Healthcare student, and more recently 2x UWS BSc Paramedic students. It's a great learning experience for us all.

It's almost like these powers should rest in Holyrood rather than London...
