Two Swedish citizens, both arbitrarily detained in Iran, same baseless accusations. One difference: the attitude of the Swedish government. In one case, Sweden states 'we WILL free our citizen'. For Djalali, they draw the line at 'we demand his release on humanitatian grounds'.

It is an outrage that Russia has rejected Vladimir Kara-Murza's appeal against his sentence.

Vladimir, a British national, has committed no crime. He is a political prisoner, held by Russia in revenge for speaking out against the war, and should be released immediately.
