As part of my role in the Shadow DEFRA team, I visited an 800-acre farm including arable land, cattle and horse stables. We discussed challenges like waterlogged land due to a changing climate, and what this means for our food security. We need a positive vision for our farmers.

It's been great to get some sunshine over the last couple of weeks, but please stay safe in the sun. I attended this event for Melanoma Awareness Month, where they explained how just wearing a hat and SPF can go such a long way in protecting yourself from skin cancer.

I was delighted to join girls from around the United Kingdom at Girlguiding’s Parliamentary Reception. It was great to hear from them the changes they would like to see in their lives, including around girl's safety, mental health, cost of living and the environment.

It's #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek . Great to see this Samaritans poster at Tamworth train station. Samaritans are there for people who are struggling to cope or in crisis. If you or anyone you know needs to talk, please do not hesitate to call them day or night on 116 123.

The sun is out and it's a great time to pick up some summer flowers that bees love! I got mine from Dobbies Garden Centre as well as this lovely lunch.
