I was very pleased to attend the 10th anniversary celebrations of Taibach Community Library!

I was there 10 years ago when it first opened and I am so glad to see it thriving. The library offers a whole host of things, from books & use of computers to knitting groups & a children’s corner.

It was brilliant to see hundreds of people in town for Port Talbot Food Festival today, the town is abuzz and there are so many fantastic things on offer!

A huge well done to Viva Port Talbot for pulling off another hugely successful event!

An asylum system – rebuilt. The criminal gangs – smashed. The exploitation of some of the most vulnerable people in the world – prevented.

That is the future you can choose. That is what my mission-driven Labour government will deliver.

No gimmicks. Just graft.

You know the Tories are panicked by Labour’s bold plans on border security when they revert to just making stuff up.

It is the Tories planning an amnesty - the asylum hotel amnesty happening now, with 100,000 asylum seekers set to stay for life in taxpayer-funded accommodation.

Vaughan Vaughan Gething 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 will continue to relentlessly press Tata to change course, both in Wales and out in Mumbai. What a contrast with the UK government, which wants to spend £500 million of taxpayers’ money on making thousands of steelworkers redundant…

Taking industrial action is always the last resort, but our steelworkers have been left with no choice. Tata must now pause, listen, reflect and return to the negotiating table in a more constructive frame of mind. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

With Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper, Labour will stop the chaos, bust the backlogs, and rebuild our broken asylum system.

Funded by the money wasted on the Tories’ Rwanda gimmick.

Dangerous boat crossings undermine our border security & put lives at risk.

That’s why Labour is tomorrow setting out new plans to strengthen our border security & smash criminal gang networks. Instead of the failing Conservative gimmicks, we need a proper grip.

Labour is totally committed to 2.5% of GDP on defence.

When Labour was last in Government, we were spending 2.5% of GDP on defence. A level that’s never been matched in the 14 Tory years since.

Thousands of jobs at Port Talbot are at risk. They don’t have to be.

The Welsh steel industry can & should be at the centre of the transition to net-zero. This Govt’s lack of ambition for our steel industry is letting down thousands of skilled workers.

My question earlier👇

Only the Labour Party under Keir Starmer, with Yvette Cooper, will secure the borders.

It's one of the reasons so many former are coming to .

We've seen 2,400 small boat crossings since Sunak's victory-lap press conference 16 days ago.

Sending 1% of asylum seekers to Rwanda is a gimmick, not a deterrent. It'd take 300 years to clear PM's permanent backlog, with asylum seekers living in taxpayer-funded accommodation!

Exclusive: The Home Office has lost track of more than 20,000 failed asylum seekers in Britain over the past five years

Almost 10,000 were found to have been lost between January and September, as the Home Office was pushing to fulfil PM's backlog pledge

The CBAM will prevent  heavy-polluters abroad undercutting greener British firms.

But India - with carbon-intensive steelmaking - is reportedly lobbying for an exemption.

CBAM will unravel unless comprehensive across all countries.

The Minister was unable to reassure UK firms.
