On Memorial Day, we honor the courageous people who sacrificed everything for our country, and grieve with the loved ones they left behind.

I hope we can commit to honoring our departed service members by prioritizing peace and diplomacy to stop the cycle of never-ending wars.

Our NY-16 community is home to over 18,000 veterans. 726 have benefited from the PACT Act which helps veterans exposed to toxic burn pits by giving them over $40k in annual benefits.

I was proud to vote for the PACT Act with my Democratic colleagues to support our veterans.

I’m so excited to announce that we are requesting over $36 million in community project funding to be included in the FY25 budget. These investments are going to be transformational for our community, and I’m going to keep fighting for them all the way.

Four years ago, George Floyd’s life was violently stolen from him by police officers. I’m thinking of his daughter, Gianna, and everyone else who knew and loved him. We have a responsibility to continue to fight for racial justice and defend Black lives.

Rest in power, George.

Two years ago today we lost 21 innocent lives in the Uvalde massacre. I'm sending love and strength to all of those impacted by the tragedy.

Our kids and educators deserve to go to school without the fear of being killed. It's time to pass gun control—we can't lose anyone else.
