Shouting at BBC Radio 4 Today Nick Robinson is not an out of work benefit, it is a benefit to meet some of the well evidenced research that says disabled people face additional costs … it is outrageous that politicians of all hues misrepresent this.

13 mins to correct this!

Criminal often ordered to do 150 hours unpaid work

Unpaid carer does 168 hours of unpaid work a week. What’s their crime?

It’s time unpaid carers were treated as any other worker would be.

No wonder carers struggle. No wonder so many end up with health conditions of their own. Read this thread - surely we can do better 🙄

Maybe unpaid carers need to start counter claims for loss of earnings.

And maybe, they should have timesheets for all the work they do that goes beyond a normal “parent/child/husband/wife” relationship & be paid for the work they do that takes them away from their career.

Unpaid carers remain in hospital caring for their relative, yet, aren’t entitled to carers allowance because the DWP thinks they’re being care for by the hospital. They aren’t.

Day 2 in Lewisham Hospital and it’s Fish & Chips Friday for my sister.
I wonder what the CEO of the trust is having for lunch today🤔
I’ve decided to tweet this everyday in the hope something might change for the better.

You call unsung heroes but are cruel to them, leaving them to work excessive amounts of hours, forcing them into poverty, & prosecuting them when mistakes occur. Despite saving you 168 bn a year.

Is that how you treat heroes? Seems very contradictory.

Is it possible to get drum teachers for a young adult w/ learning disabilities or is it just therapy? Even then, I can’t find any music therapists, either have to be child in school or child who attends a hospice.

Any ideas? Leeds, Harrogate, York area

He said: “The DWP has its own vulnerable customer policy and practice and quite frankly it’s not following it”.

And that the DWP had become “too big and too removed” and should potentially be disbanded as part of a wider reform of the welfare sector.

Enough is enough. Disabled people are not the problem.

Last week the Prime Minister made a speech about so-called 'sicknote culture'. He also proposed major changes to disability benefits.

Today we're launching a petition in response to this full-on assault of disabled people.
