The #AscensionOfTheLord tells us that Jesus is alive among us in a new way. He is now present in every place and time, and is close to each of us. We are never alone: we have an Advocate who guides us, waits for us, and defends us.

The Church raises her prayer of 'Supplication' to #OurLadyOfTheRosary of Pompeii today. I invite everyone to invoke the intercession of Mary, and pray that the Lord may grant #Peace to the entire world, especially to the dear and martyred Ukraine, to Palestine and Israel.

In the face of a future that may seem dark, let us strive to sow hope and do good, in the conviction that life can be lived differently and that peace is possible. #GeneralAudience

Encountering people, sharing a gaze and our stories: this is the closeness of Jesus that we are called to live. An encounter can change a life. The #Gospel is filled with these encounters with Jesus that uplift and heal.
