Building more things here powered by renewable energy will create jobs and boost our economy.

That's what our Future Made in Australia plan is all about.

L-NP expected to cool jets on nuclear after small modular reactors found to cost 4-6 times more, and old-fashioned large-scale reactors at least double the cost of reliable renewables. Surging power bills is a tough sell — and one that could be abandoned before the election.

Last night's budget reply has reaffirmed the coalition's unenviable status as economic duds — what scant detail was provided revealed a vague plan to slow the economy, drive up power bills and raid super. No serious plans and no credible solutions.

Saw some respected commentators take the Murdoch bait on that Albo landlord story this morning. Tonight we learn he slashed the rent at the start of the pandemic, but never raised it again, saving his tenants as much as $60,000 — do we think there'll be follow ups?
